McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release Therapy
The McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release Technique® is a life-changing advancement in the treatment of scar tissue. MSTR® is an innovative, gentle, and natural method of producing lasting change in your scars. Gentle fingertip pressure is applied to the area to help free the restrictions in the scar. No force is involved and the work is always applied within your tolerance.
Scars may feel and look unpleasant and may even upset us emotionally, due to the traumatic events that created them. Scar tissue may contribute significantly to seemingly unrelated problems. They can cause:
- restrictions in the fascia
- reduction in blood and lymph flow
- numbness, tingling, or hypersensitivity
- muscle weakness
- inhibited range of motion
- reduced energy flow (chi)
- low self-esteem
MSTR® work is suitable for post-surgical scars such as:
- mastectomy, lumpectomy, etc.
- appendix, gall bladder, etc.
- hysterectomy/C-section
- joint replacement scars (knee, hip, etc.)
- head wounds
- amputations
- plantarfasciitis
- fascial adhesions
- trauma wounds (lacerations, contusions, muscle tears, etc.)
- some burn scars
- may be helpful for Morton’s Neuroma
Treatment of your scar is vital! Research has shown that, when a scar is left untreated, it may lessen the effect or longevity of other therapeutic interventions. Even though your scar may be many years old, this may be the release your body has been waiting for. Often just one or two sessions can produce dramatic, even visible changes.
